Wagga City Council is moving forward with the formation of its Crime Prevention Working Group.

Last night's meeting saw councillors agree to advertise for four community members to join the group, including one under the age of 25.

The resolution also endorsed the group's Terms of Reference and membership.

It will include representatives from the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Department of Housing, Family and Community Services, Justice, the Aboriginal legal or justice Service Sector and local police.

Also in the group will be the Mayor, three councillors, and the Member for Wagga.
