Three Australians will take home more than $36 million each after sharing the $110 million Powerball jackpot.

A man from Adelaide, a punter in Victoria and an online purchaser from New South Wales each took home $36.6 million, with the Adelaide recipient also winning multiple division two prizes, claiming another $1 million, the Lott said following Thursday night's draw.

The winning numbers were: 6, 13, 1, 11, 23, 27, 16 with the Powerball number 11

If that wasn't enough for the Adelaide winner, the young man also scored scored division two 19 times, boosting his total prize to $37,602,912.27!

“Thank you so much! That is incredible. I can’t believe that. I am shaking so much.," he told The Lott when receiving that dream phone call.

“This is going to change so many lives!

I was definitely not expecting this phone call!

Just like everyone who buys a ticket you never think it’s going to actually happen to you.

“My heart is going a million miles an hour. That’s unbelievable! Wow! Thank you!”

When asked about how he intends on spending the money, the man said that this family and charities were his priority.

“I would love to take my family on a holiday!” he said.

“I’m not sure where exactly I’ll be going but I think a round-the-world trip might be on the cards. In fact, we could even do it first class!

“I’ll also pay off my family’s mortgages and donate heaps to charity.”

When asked about whether he would continue working, the overwhelmed winner laughed:

"I might quit my job! I don’t know, I’m still in shock! I just can’t wait to get off the phone so I can call my family and tell them the news. I don’t know if they’ll even believe me!”

Lott spokeswoman Bronwyn Spencer said the division one winning entry from Victoria is unregistered, while the NSW entry was purchased online.

It was anticipated up to a third of Australian adults bought tickets in the draw, but the record for the largest lottery prize winner remains a Sydney health worker who scored just over $107 million in January.
