Australia Day is this Saturday and it's time to make some plans! Luckily, there are some fantastic events around Hobart this Aus Day that are perfect for the whole family!

Bellerive Boardwalk Australia Day Breakfast

Head to the Bellerive Boardwalk from 8:30am on Australia Day for breakfast and live music! 

Breakfast will be available from The Flipped Egg, Marypin South American Food, Cool Cow Caf, The Waffle Man & Moto Veccia

From 10:30am, The Clarence City Band will entertain you, followed by the official ceremonies and will include addresses from Mayor Doug Chipman and Australia Day Ambassador, Mitch McPherson from Stay Chatty.

 

Australia Day on the beach 

Australia Day at Kingston is the best way to enjoy a great sunny day! There will be treasure hunts, sandcastle competitions, double decker buses and swimming races. It all kicks off from 10am-2pm! 

Tasman Regatta and Peninsula Feast (Sunday, 27th January)

Tasman Regatta is FREE family event including:

  • Fishing Competition
  • Crab Racing
  • Pleasure Boat Racing
  • Facing Paintning
  • Biathlon and Bay Swim
  • Kayaking
  • Claytons Race (Homemade Vessel)
  • Gumboot Throwing
  • Pot Pulling
  • Nail Driving
  • Lions Club Wheel and MUCH more

Peninsula Feast

To be held at the Nubeena Recreation Ground (21 Clarke Street, Nubeena), showcasing local produce.  Enjoy a family fun night with live music. Event opens at 4:30pm and closes at 10:00pm. There will be a jumping castle, Rotary Train, Activity Tent and MUCH more. Dogs are unfortunately not allowed.

Australia Day at the Gardens

Spend Australia Day with the family, a picnic and some great music!

Once again being held at The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, this years line up includes:
* Uncle Gus and The Rimshots
* Billy Whitton & Kate Baker
* Tim and Scott
* Mama Smooth
* Mocane
* The Raccoons

Tickets available at the gate, with gates opening at 12pm. Kids under 10 free!
