UPDATE: Hear Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp talk to Sea FM's Gawndy & Ash Pollard about the sacking, the loss and the future of the club.

The Central Coast Mariners have 'parted ways' with Coach Mike Mulvey, shortly after their 8-2 loss to Wellington Phoenix at Central Coast Stadium last night.

In a statement issued shortly before 1am, the club says they "wish Mulvey all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his service to the Club."

The Central Coast Mariners can today advise that the Club has parted ways with Head Coach Mike Mulvey, effective immediately. Mulvey joined the Central Coast Mariners during the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 pre-season. With six games remaining in the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season, the club will issue a statement when a decision has been made regarding who will lead the team during this period. At this stage, there are no other changes to the club’s other coaching and football support staff. The Central Coast Mariners wish Mulvey all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his service to the Club.
