City of Hobart

From 7pm Friday 12th October until 6am Monday 15th October, the Tasman Highway will be closed for the construction of a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge.

The closure will be located between the Tasman Bridge and Brooker Avenue.

The City of Hobart is working with Fulton Hogan to install a new, all-abilities pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Tasman Highway to link two of Hobart’s most significant places of remembrance – the Cenotaph and Soldiers Memorial Avenue on the Queens Domain.

The closure is expected to cause delays of 30+ minutes at peak travel times, so please allow for the extra time and follow signage, or avoid the route altogether if possible.

For more information, head to the City of Hobart website.
