The TAC launches new campaign

Sunraysia drivers are being urged to keep each other safe on our roads this festive season, the TAC launching a new road safety campaign.

The campaign has been unveiled in partnership with the State Government, focusing on the "death knock" police have to perform after a person is killed on Victorian roads.

The campaign comes off the back of 29 people dying on Victorian roads last December.

TAC director Samantha Cofield says those in regional areas are at greater risk with 60% of last year’s road toll in rural areas.

Officials hope the campaign will remind people of the tragic outcomes of risk taking behaviour on the roads.
