Love Martial Arts? Love Manga?

Post

Attention all young Rocky artists... You're invited to take part in an innovative workshop combining martial arts and manga/anime drawing!

Run by Wing Chun Kung Fu instructor Stuart Leake and award-winning illustrator David Lovegrove, it's a once in a lifetime learning opportunity for aspiring artists, aimed at 13 - 25 year olds.

Rockhampton Regional Council’s Communities Chair, Councillor Rose Swadling said the workshop is just one of the many events leading up to CapriCon on April 6th.

“With the highly anticipated CapriCon event less than 6 weeks away, Rockhampton Regional Libraries have organised a series of workshops for those looking to get ready for what promises to be the biggest festival yet." - Cr Swadling

She continued that in the workshops, participants will try a series of movements "designed to increase mindfulness, unleash creativity and inspire their drawing", after which artists will move into the drawing workshop before transitioning to Virtual Reality Google Tiltbrush.
