Man Charged Over The Stabbing Of A Royal Perth Hospital Nurse
A 55-year-old woman was attacked.
A nurse has been stabbed while on duty at the Royal Perth Hospital.
The 55-year-old was helping a patient on Sunday when she was approached from behind by a man who attacked her with a "makeshift weapon", police say.
She has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
A 30-year-old man has been charged with one count of assaulting a public officer and one count of possessing a controlled weapon.
The incident has seen criticism over the Government's lack of action in improving hospital security following a spike in similar attacks last year.
