Two highland dancers from the Kalgoorlie Dance Academy have been chosen to represent an elite Australian highland dance team in Russia next week.

Shenae Greatorex and Georgia Robertson, both from Kalgoorlie-Boulder, will fly to Russia on Saturday and join the OzScott Australian team, who will dance with teams from all around the world as part of the Russian Cultural Tour. They are a part of Australia's 16-person team.

Ms. Greatorex said she was honoured to be part of the festival and excited to be able to travel and dance. The festival will run for almost four weeks.

"We enjoy the opportunity to dance because we love to share our love of highland dance with audiences. It will be a proud moment when the Australian team of dancers stand in Russia with the Australian flag."

Good luck to both girls!
