Houses are Now Cheaper to Buy Than Rent in Parts of Central Vic

Houses are becoming so affordable in some parts of Central Victoria that it's becoming cheaper to buy than rent.

A recent report by ANZ has found that in Elmore a mortgage will chew up 20 per cent of your weekly income while the average rent will chew up 27 per cent.

Although it's still a long way to go before we can own a house and have smashed avocado each day for breakfast, it's a step in the right direction for housing affordability.
