Harry Styles may not have landed the role of Elvis in Baz Lurhmann’s upcoming film, but the singer and Dunkirk actor is apparently in talks for another major Hollywood role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harry is in early negotiations to play Prince Eric in Disney’s live action remake of their 1989 classic, The Little Mermaid.

Disney confirmed earlier this month, that Ariel would be played by young RnB singer Halle Bailey from the singing duo Chloe x Halle, while Crazy Rich Asians actress Awkwafina has been rumoured to voice Skuttle.

Although Eric doesn’t sing in the original Disney film, the company’s 2000s Broadway musical introduced two solos for the handsome prince... and we doubt Disney would let Harry’s voice go to waste.

Neither Harry nor his reps have responded to the rumours, so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for more information on this one!

Do you think Harry is perfect for the role?

Who do you think should play Prince Eric?
