Morwell MP Russell Northe is calling on the Victorian Government to reopen Hazelwood Pondage to the public.

Mr Northe will speak in parliament today and ask Labor to work with Engie, Latrobe City and the community to find solutions for existing issues relating to dam walls.

Last year Engie met with community members and said they had no plans to fix the walls or refill the pondage. At the time, the French company also said it had plans to drain the pond and fill the Hazelwood Mine as part of its rehabilitation commitment.
